In a new episode of the Serve to Lead podcast, noted communications expert Larry Kamer shares his unique, actionable insights on crisis leadership. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing financial turbulence, no individual or institution—corporate, governmental, not-for-profit, military or religious—is immune to existential threats. Mr. Kamer's extensive experience has never been more timely or in greater demand. His firm, Kamer Consulting Group, serves an array of clients in California and across the United States.
Mr. Kamer is an adjunct professor in the Professional Communication Program at the University of San Francisco, the Chief Information Security Officer at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California. He has also lectured at Georgetown University; the University of California, Berkeley; Mills College; Saint Mary’s College; the University of Munich, the University of Western Ontario and the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Kamer has been honored as a “PR All-Star” (Holmes Report), and as one of “America’s Top 10 Crisis Busters” (PR Week). He received a Silver Anvil award, the PR industry’s highest honor, for his work on a national product recall for Castleberry’s Food Company in 2007.
He earned his M.A. in Public Policy and B.A. in Political Science and Urban Affairs from Northwestern University.
