When we serve America, we serve the world.
It’s time to step up for America’s Fourth Founding.
The Next Nationalism is a publication and community dedicated to recovering and advancing our shared American national identity and narrative as a unifying force, expressed through engaged citizenship.
At hinge moments in American history, prior generations updated our understanding of the universal ideals of the Declaration of Independence. This was followed by reform of our constitutional system, culminating in a new political settlement.
At our best, a shared vision of American nationalism enables us to meet our mission:
What we owe—and how we can serve—one another;
What we owe—and how we can serve—the nation;
What the nation owes—and how we can serve—the world.
Now it’s our turn to update and give life to this vision in our present circumstances.
It’s time for us to step up for the Fourth Founding of the United States.
The Next Nationalism is intended to be a gathering spot for many of us who are seeking to serve, in whatever way we can, in this time of challenge, change, and possibility.

The Serve to Lead podcast is hosted here. It focuses on 21st century leadership—which, more than ever, is servant leadership.
Leadership is the master key of the American experience. As citizens and as a nation, we’re at our best when we focus on serving others.
